Climate Ready School Grounds Audit

Two or so hours on your settings site to undertake a comprehensive audit of your grounds. To assess how your grounds can be improved, particular from a climate perspective.

The simple information gathering assessing areas for heat, cold, wind, water and biodiversity will produce a report to see which areas, if any, that could be improved.

We welcome the input of your Sustainability Lead and the cohort of Eco Committee and/or Pupil Council members on this session. Please note pupils will need to be supervised by a member of your settings staff at all times.

We’ll need your help with some of the information needed to complete the audit.  Please find the survey here (scroll down to download digital survey or pdf).

Climate School 180

Climate School 180 is Learning through Landscapes new climate-focused initiative. The project aims to develop and share a better understanding of how schools can implement quality climate education, alongside providing first-hand experience of creating nature-based solutions to climate change in the school grounds.

Working in partnership with many organisations, including the University of Stirling and Climate Adaptive Pathways in Education (CAPE), we are delivering the project in over 160 primary and secondary schools across all four nations, working with landscape architects, climate and nature experts, teachers, and pupils themselves.
